Welcome to 1560 main

We are finally here on blogger, joining everyone in the blogging world!  It's taken us some time but after setting up a website (www.1560main.com), email system (email1560main@gmail.com) and running the business we now have a blog!

After this heat wave here in NY, hopefully we will have some nice, tolerable weather, so everyone can go out and hit those yard sales!  Everyday driving here and there, we pass yard sales and always love to snoop around in the never ending piles of stuff for hidden treasures.  The thrill of finding something you were not looking for, until you've found it, is exhilarating.  You never know what you will discover.  That slight mystery and feeling of the unknown is what we look for in our store.  We try to have a selection of antique furniture and collectibles, but also something that you may have never seen, something to spark the imagination.

We attend many "top secret" auctions and love to fill our truck to the top with stuff!  If there is time, we also visit as many yard sales as possible, you never know what someone has had stored away in their attics for the past decade.  We look for almost everything imaginable; antique, retro and new.  Antique furniture, collectibles, jewelery, gifts, glass items, military items are some of the things we keep an eye out for. Owner, Carl, also makes beautiful handcrafted furniture and we hope to have local art of all kinds in the future, some created by family members.  We're a talented bunch!

In the near future, we are looking to add some more pizzaz to the storefront and we have come up with a funky idea... but we can't tell you yet, check back soon, or come in to the store to see for yourself!

Since we understand that not everyone can travel cross country to visit an antique store, we have listed select items on ebay for easy access!  Check out our inventory!

If you are interested in more information please subscribe to our newsletter here, and check out our website for more info on our business and the history of our location.  You can also email us with questions regarding the store or anything here on the blog at: email1560main@gmail.com

One of our 1560 main team members has his own blog, dylansglutenfreedom, and is now helping to keep everything running smoothly with the website and blogs.  You may recognize him, woven into the text.
Check back soon for more new posts!
